This was a surprise birthday treat organised by my husband. It was such a lovely day, Charlotte, Sam and team know how to pitch this one to one experience. We learned so much during our day and thoroughly enjoyed being with these beautiful well kept birds. Thank you for making this such a special day and well done. Good luck with the Red Funnel awards as well - we have voted for you!🤞👍

I booked a "Hawk Walk" which was fantastic. Cole was amazing and her knowledge of birds really added to the experience. Her love of the birds was very evident as was her passion for falconry. I never got the impression that Cole was "going through the motions". Either side of the walk we attended two free displays which were also excellent and very different from any we had seen before. This was a major highlight of our holiday; we also had a trip on the railway. We plan to be back during our holiday on the IOW next year.

We had booked the Hawk walk without really knowing what to expect and it was just brilliant. Titchiba was just amazing and after a slighty stubborn start happily landed on our gloves for tasty titbits. It really was incredible and were absolutely thrilled. Cole was a natural and was so knowledgeable, funny and interesting, we loved her stories (including the one about the duck!). This place is just so well run, the birds and other animals are well cared for and obviously
well loved. It was a real pleasure to visit and I would highly recommend to anyone living on or visiting to pay this place a visit. It is a real gem.

I enjoyed a fantastic Owl experience here alongside seeing the falcons and other birds of prey I was able to learn a lot more about these beautiful owls whilst having the fly onto my arm for food. Cole was an amazing instructor who answered every question we asked with knowledge and enthusiasm. The best thing was how well cared for these animals are and how well treated. I would definitely recommend a visit as well as one of their experiences.

The experience seeing the owls flying freely around us in the woodland was lovely.
Unfortunately we had to miss the falcons due to us being on the steam train. We had a walk around the centre which was interesting to see. More notices with information would have been nice to have seen.
I'm not fussy, but it seemed a bit tired and run-down. The little shop sold quite a lot of things, but not to my taste. However the staff were friendly and quite willing to answer peoples questions courteously.
If you travel on the steam train you have half-price entry to the centre.

Saw a lovely bird display just before the steam train. Love the presentation and the talk very funny in parts which makes a good talk I feel!
Small set up but lovely kept garden and falconry centre.
Staff we spoke to were knowledgeable and very friendly which makes a huge difference on a day out.
Our daughter held a kestrel for a small fee which was a great experience, Keith was very patient and great with all the visitors old and young.
Would highly recommend going to the centre after the bird show for a small fee to help this business out.
Perfect for young children especially to see the animals up close to which all were very well desensitised to people.
The centre also has a little reptile room which was great!!! Our daughter loved finding them in their enclosures, the signage was great also so we knew what to look for.
Well done team we had a great day out

We were bought a family Hawk Walk for Christmas and were very excited to use. We were welcomed on arrival, got the chance to look around and then had a whole hour walking with Titchiba and handler Luke. It was a great experience. Lots of time walking and watching her fly. Everyone got several turns to feed and hold on the glove. Learnt alot. Luke was very friendly and patient with our 7 and 4 year old boys. At the end the boys also got to hold a snake so they were very chuffed. Would definitely recommend the visit and the walk too!

Decided to visit here after a ride on the steam train and what an unexpected bonus.
We watched the woodland owl display. It was run by 2 members of staff who were very knowledgeable, humorous and very obviously cared for the owls they were flying.
We then visited the actual centre after the display, which was well worth the small entry fee.
On the day we went, there was a reduced entry fee for having been on the railway. It may not apply at all times, so check first.

We came here whilst on a day out at the railway and what a bonus this is. We watched the owl display in the woods, then we went to the main area of the haven and then watched the 2nd display with the hawks and kestrels etc. the knowledge from the two lads running the show is endless and the birds are very well looked after. Would definitely recommend to anyone and can’t wait to come back.

Yes, you can turn up and pay at the gate. With regards to cost...you can pay for the falconry alone, add it on when booking a ticket for the train,or add it on when you buy your ticket for the train at the station.....prices vary depending on this but it's around £5 at it's dearest..and £2:50 at it's cheapest....check out their website, they have full details there.
