Sammy Miller MBE is a motorcycling legend, 11 times British Champion, winner of over 1400 events and still winning competitions more than 50 years after his first victory. The Museum houses one of the finest collections of fully restored motorcycles in the world, including factory racers and exotic prototypes, with the collection constantly evolving as new bikes are acquired. There are over 400 rare and classic motorcycles on display in four galleries - one of which showcases the fabulous Norton Collection. The museum is set within an attractive courtyard, with tea rooms, craft shops and children's play area. It is also home to many chickens, donkeys, goats, alpacas and two aviaries.

A visit to this museum should be on the list of everyone with an interest in motorcycles. With in excess of 400 machines on show you really can trace the history of motorcycling, and the best bit is they are all "alive" and could be fired up with a bit of fettling. The quality of the restoration is superb and... More

Neither of us are particularly into classic bikes, but we both found the displays really interesting. Almost all of the bikes on display have been immaculately restored and look stunning. Allow at least 2-3 hours, or all day if you're really into this sort of thing!

A huge display of motor cycles through the ages with Sammy Miller still in charge and working on bikes every day. They have ride-outs periodically which Sammy joins and also special days where you can take and buy spares. for non-motorcycle people there are a couple of craft shops, a fabric shop and a café and for the children there... This is one of the best motorcycle museums one could wish to visit. A team of volunteers keep the bikes on display in showroom condition, and they are happy to chat - they are a fount of knowledge. If you are keen on vintage British iron, this is a must-see.

Being a biker for many years this is a fantastic venue to view classic and old historic bikes. Must admit, I have no interest in bikes from 1965 and newer. ( that's showing my age). Fantastic dedicated areas for Vincent and Norton bikes. Some beautiful Douglas bikes also. Just too many joyous moments just viewing. A large benefit is you... More

We saw a sign to the motorcycle museum and my partner was very keen to visit. I have never seen so many motorcycles in one place! He was in his element. I had not expected to find it interesting but it really was! There is a lot of history there. The museum is in a pleasant courtyard with a couple... More

Thanks for your review and you would be surprised at how many women say they were surprised at how interesting they found our motorbike museum! Probably a trip down memory lane for many of them, we have a Francis Barnett bike - the same model as my father rode so I understand where they are coming from! Please do spread... More

What a wonderful place. Such a huge collection of much loved motorcycles. Time to wander around and enjoy a variety of machines, I particularly loved the 3 Indians. Outside a courtyard with lovely tea rooms, a small play are for little ones, also donkeys, llamas, chickens.

My wife and I visited Sammy's place and it was a great day. Looking at all those great bikes really to me back to my younger days, especially the Ariel square four as my father had one then passed it on to me as one of my first bikes after I passed my test when I was 16.

A well laid out museum of motorcycles at a guess from 1914 to 1970 with 490 exhibits. The exhibits are excellently presented and there is enough parts shown to follow the progress of motorcycles through the years. There is a very good and reasonable tea room on site for light snacks or something more. Watch for the Alpacas.
