A stunning ten acre garden restored by Australian garden designer Marylyn Abbott over the last twenty years. Combining a classical Lakefield design with a blend of formal and informal planting, English traditions and Australian flair, West Green offers intimacy and spectacle in a country setting. Access to the beautiful Victorian greenhouses is included and a visit to the formally planted vegetable garden is a must! West Green also offers a Tea Room and shop, is entirely accessible for those with limited mobility and each year hosts the West Green House Season of Music and Opera in July, Please note that West Green House is privately owned and not open to the general public.

Widely advertised Christmas Fayre but a bit of a disappointment. Not that many stalls (all under cover but prices very high and the choice somewhat limited. I have been there before in Spring time - the gardens are quite extensive and reasonably well laid out...More

I visited with Canadian friends prior to their return home and found the venue great value for money. The gardens are beautiful and entry is very reasonable. I would advise checking on the open days as I think it is closed early in the week.

I had found these gardens on the National Trust website but was surprised on arrival to find no mention of National Trust on any of the signing. It would appear that NT gave the property up to a private owner some years ago but there...More

Well it was a great visit, the gardens are beautiful so worth it. Roses peonies lavender box - all looked perfect. We had a picnic after in the grassy overflow orchard style car park.

While the garden and layout of the garden is beautiful, there was far too much of it closed to the public including the greenhouse for a private function, the bridge over to the lake, the orangery the monkey house and we were led to believe...More

Yes but it's a bit tricky getting through the shop and cafe and then into the gardens.
