The Hawk Conservancy Trust is a conservation charity and award winning visitor centre that operates in the fields of conservation, education, rehabilitation and research of birds of prey. Set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, there are over 150 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in the spectacular daily flying demonstrations, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects. Every visitor can hold a British bird of prey and there are extra activities during weekends and school holidays for the younger visitors.

My partner and I visited today. I just cannot praise this place enough. We had three great flying displays from vultures, hawks and owls. I thought I disliked vultures until my visit. Now I really admire them. The love and trust between the wonderful staff and their birds is just lovely to see. Beautiful surroundings in large gardens and meadow.... More

Fantastic day out . The staff are so friendly, extremely knowledgeable and quite obviously really love the birds they look after - and the place they work/volunteer. The flying demonstrations were also amazing. To see a vulture with an 8 foot wing span flying above you was incredible. Restaurant also great. Highly recommend The Hawk Conservancy to all

An evening event at the Hawk Conservancy Trust. After a tasty dinner we headed to the woodland arena and viewed four owls in flight. The owls flew so low that one brushed my shoulder with his wing - awesome! We then walked around the owls with one of the handlers who talked with great affection for the birds and with... More

Really glad we visited. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, passionate about conservation and obviously love the birds they care for. Highlight of our day was the flying displays, especially seeing the kites and vultures soaring in the air and flying just over our heads. Great stuff! Good restaurant, happy to cater for gluten-free. Hoping to go again.

Third time I've visited, the first with my grandchildren. Fantastic day flying exhibitions al day with enough time in between to look around and have lunch. All the keepers are knowledgeable about the birds and great value for money at only £45.00per family of four. Will go again in the future.

Flying kites - black kites that is!!!! Another wonderful day at my favourite place. If you love birds of prey this is the place for you. Amazing displays which no matter how many times you see them are always different. Today I have seen a Griffon Vulture terrorising a falconer, a young Kestrel learning to hover, Hooded Vultures battling strong... More

This really is a brilliant place and definitely a full day's entertainment for the whole family. The displays and talks are superbly informative and entertaining and the incredible birds really do get up close and personal at times. The staff were absolutely fantastic in answering any questions we or our children had. It's rare to find a day out that's... More
