Visited the Lowry to see Central School of Ballet in the Lyric Studio Theatre. It was worth the round trip of nearly 300 miles. The performance was very good, especially the piece Hopper, and the venue was excellent. I enjoyed the surrounding view around Salford Quays and Media City.

Fantastic gallery of his paintings, very special to me, as I did see him a lot in my youth, sitting around doing his drawings, in fact being one of the subjects on one of his painting, as a little boy playing with a ball.

My fiance and I enjoyed an evening watching Wicked! I've seen it in the states, and this performance was just as good!

I've loved L S Lowry for years and finally I got to see this amazing museum. Certainly wasn't disappointed. A super collection, cheap admission, fairly priced shop and cafe. A real treat.

If you have never heard the story of Lowry , then you will enjoy the guided tours on offer here. Very knowledgable guides and gallery staff. Good selection of the iconic matchstick men paintings and other less well known works of art to keep your interest as you walk through the small rooms of the gallery. No entrance charge rather... My wife and I popped into here as we were meandering around Salford. What a place! Nice venue for events and the Lowry gallery is fantastic. I've admired his work since childhood and it's all on display here alongside his not so famous pieces. Extrememly interesting.

First time to see a show in The Lowry, Wicked, and the whole day was excellent. Lovely building, great location, numerous places to eat and drink inside, from a cafe to up-market restaurant. Seats in theatre, very comfortable, good leg room all have good views, being compact. Nice to have just a wander around if not seeing a show

I have seen numerous productions here the seats have been good. The only downside of the Lowry is they won't validate tickets for parking here you can only do this at the Lowry Outlet Mall or in a Restaurant. We did that this evening but as we went over the hour we still had to pay when we were at... More

I really enjoyed the Lowry Gallery. If you're looking for a whole day out this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for a focused view on Lowry, but on all of his work rather than just the really well known paintings then I'd definitely recommend. I particularly liked the variety of work on display. The pencil drawings are... More
