I have always been interested in L S Lowry - the painter . His life and journey through various styles - portraits, landscapes - from Constable styles to the iconic matchstick men.. The Lowry MUSEUM - not to be confused with the arts centre for productions - is awe inspiring . Very well exhibited and detailed history of his life... More

we went to the Quays theatre on 16th. January. we had seats in the Dress circle. My wife has mobility problems and has to walk with a stick. From the main entrance there is a long steep ramp up to the Quays. When we got to level 1 we found that row B consists of bar stools! Was this made... More

Lowery was one of my art teacher's favourite painters. Consequently, I knew a good deal about his techniques and his works. It was very enjoyable to get close to many of the original works studied as a schoolboy. My only concern, my free hour wasn't long enough . . . I will be back.

Wonderful building, inside and out. Great gallery of Lowry's works, with films and a talk thrown in. All for free. And the staff are lovely. Good food in the Pier 8 bar/restaurant and a decent cafe. Definitely worth a visit. Metro link tram from Piccadilly Station to Metro City takes you right there (£3 return off peak).

came here for the third time, the other visits were a while back to watch frank skinner and then to watch the musical oz last year. This was a great show with great seats, nice to hear off them when they have offers on shows, all in all would highly recommend the show and look forward to going to the... More

We visited primarily to look around the Lowry exhibition and weren't disappointed - a great collection of his works and plenty too so you can spend a good hour, maybe more, looking around. Definitely worth visiting!

We are very lucky because we live near this venue. Great productions arrive here and there really is a show for everyone at one time or another. Yes its expensive but theatre is but then so are many other leisure interests. Seats are good, there's always a warm welcome from the volunteer team who support by being hosts because the... More

The Lowry exhibition was outstanding as was the shop. Many staff around to provide support and advice. Only had to give a donation. Well worth a few hours. The surrounding area offered many other attractions and eating places. Impressive area.

The Lowry Theater is an impressive place and contains multiple theaters. We went to see Horrible Christmas and this was a great production. Below is my experience of the day Ticket Collection - When I arrived to pick up my tickets there was only one person on the counter and in front of me was an individual who wanted prices... More

Fantastic show with a great cast. The theatre is lovely and the seats comfortable. We travelled by bus. Quick and easy. We paid £8.50 for a family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children on a Stagecoach bus. Went to the Harvester for lunch. The waitress there was so helpful and patient. Next time we'll make sure we have time... More
