I managed to glimpse Constable's On The Stour over the cordon and I also liked the paintings of Gloria Jackson.

Went on a special event day with my young son. Very knowledgeable presenter with lots of interesting artefacts. Definitely worth a visit.
Only downside is the massive amount of time it over ran and we had to rush back to the car before it finished.
I visited the Beecroft 2 weeks ago to see a small exhibition. It was my first visit to the new building. It's a great space, has plenty of room, and holds some interesting works. It's also now the home of Jazz UK, and there's an...More

Dull sparse and thoroughly uninviting What a waste of a great facility poorly executed as a gallery visit the pallant gallery in Chichester see how a gallery should feel and look. Am ashamed to think of visitors to Southend even contemplating a visit.

I always used to visit this venue at its previous venue and it was wonderful to visit it in its new venue. This new venue is great for loght and airy and it is great to walk around and enjoy the space.
