Always lovely-never too crowded! Can stop for a cuppa if we want and there are public toilets. Can recommend Hylands for any type of day out! Walking dogs, exercising children and parents! Picnics. Game of Rounders. Safe with fences and perimeter wall and free parking.

The house has been redecorated over the last few years. The stables next to it sell food and drinks which is very nice. It also has a seperate part if you have dogs, which is a bonus.

Walks well worth the visit. The kids play area was great fun for the grandchildren who thoroughly enjoyed running around and playing in the castle and the cafe was really good value for money with good selection of food

Waited for 40 minutes in the queue to order some sandwiches at £4.95 each …….took another 50 minutes to come out and then had no crisps or garnish as advertised as they had run out. Lovely play area for children.

Wonderful to have such a large green space so close to the city. House itself is former SAS base. Don't miss the staircase that had a jeep driven up it.

Anyone visiting Hylands can't fail to be impressed by the house and the surrounding grounds. Beautiful wedding venue. In fact our eldest daughter was married there.

Parking is on a nearby field, it's a bout a 5 minute walk to the event site. The film has sold out tonight so I imagine there could be a slight delay in exiting the estate.
