I recommend this venue, we had a lovely day , the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Lots to see and do. Nice restaurant. Beautiful gardens, some of it is hilly so you need to be fit if you want to see all on offer, reasonably priced.

The reply was 'oh these are gluten free' me erm, thanks anyway FYI as many people are sensitive to cows milk and eggs as are to gluten. It's really disappointing after a meal when you fancy something sweet and there's nothing available. I... More

We are RHS members and have visited Hyde Hall several times. Its lovely all year round but especially in Spring and Autumn. Lots of events throughout year and I would recommend craft fair.

Allow yourself plenty of time at this expansive place in Essex. Wrap up warm if the weather is cold and take advantage of walking around the inspirational grounds. No matter what the season, there is always something innovative to see. You can get good refreshments at reasonable prices as well - which is always an added bonus. There is a... More

The kitchen was closed but we were able to get some prepackaged sandwiches and coffees. By the time we got to go for our walk we were informed that although the gardens closed at 4.00pm there was no... More

If you are keen on visiting an RHS garden this is a good choice. Lovely walks around the grounds a couple of cafe areas. Then of course you have the special events that run to generate an interest in other aspects. Well worth the visit.

Whatever time of year you go, Hyde Hall always delights, beautifully kept gardens, lovely for walking and very decent restaurants for lunch or afternoon tea. One of my fave places to go.
