A small local zoo for a brilliant day out. Tropical Wings butterflies are spectacular, the Meercat enclosure is a must see and the giant tortoises are spectacular. All the animals and birds are worth a visit. You won't be disappointed, children will love it and...More

Took the kis here in the summer holidays. It looks really small from the outside but suprisingly has loads to do and they had a great time.

Our first visit but certainly not are last! Wonderfully friendly staff and some great up close and personal talks with the Lemurs and wild birds. Well laid out and very clean and tidy. 10/10

Took our two granddaughters here for the day. The butterfly house is amazing and the small animals outside are very well looked after. There is an 'open' farm area where children can get up close and pet the animals and many other animals in enclosures...More

Disappointed. Very few butterflies, only see three different species. Few animals. Went round the whole place in less than one hour. This place is ideal for very young children, but not for over 11's or adults.

A hidden gem nicely laid out lots of interaction for the children. Beautiful butterfly house which left Colchester Zoo butterfly house standing. And a fair ticket price. I would and will recommend.

The cafe has a good selection of food for a reasonable price although the homemade luxury milkshake was anything but luxury. Once the cafe starts to fill up people were struggling to get pushchairs through to the free tables at the back. The tropical house...More

They don't care less about the animals - which is clear from the condition they are kept in and the fact there is no conservation effort. Astonishing for a zoo in 2016!
