If one picture on a postcard could sum up an idyllic English Seaside destination it would have to be Southwold Pier. Decked out across the sea in the picturesque coastal town of Southwold, this pillared walkway has a magnetic attraction and something for everyone to enjoy! There's so much to do a whole day can drift by while you walk the planks and explore this historic icon. Please note: Our opening times are weather permitting and therefore can change.

Pleasant pier with a few restaurants, cafes and kids stuff. Fun to view and walk. Wouldn't eat or drink there myself. Bit too crowded.

Pier great but £4.40 for two cups of tea to take away must be the most expensive tea ever will not get caught again they will probably blame it on Brexit again

Such a nice variety of fun areas _ the under the pier show, the water clock , the gift shops , cafes, the 'mirror walk' -great on sunny day or good on rainy day.Views of the lighthouse and beachhuts.

There is no charge to enter. This must be the most unusual pier I have ever been on. One thing they have is brass memorial plaques attached to the side rails. I was told by a local that it is organised by the local council...More

Called in here during our world wind tour of Suffolk. Took me back to my youth in England when a visit to the seaside was an exciting event and I wasn't disappointed. His is a lovely old pier that has stood the test of time....More

Loved our walk along the pier, lots of things to see and cafe's, amusements etc. Perfect for capturing the sea breeze on a hot sunny day!

Quaint little pier with something for everyone. The standard amusements as you walk in. Then the collection of "home made" amusements on the pier. The cafe attached is recommended too. Scrumpcious fish and chips.

No trip to Southwold is complete without a walk along the pier! Be sure to visit the curious attractions and see if you're brave enough to put your hand in the cage with the dog....

My wife's brother tragically died in 1983 and her parents had a plaque put on the pier, we plan to visit this summer, will the plaque still be in place or are they removed after a certain amount of time ?

Hi Kevin Apologies for the late response. All plaques that are placed on the pier stay up indefinitely so it will certainly still be there. We look forward to seeing you on your trip this Summer. Kind regards Peter
