Beautiful beach

One of the most stunning beaches I have seen in Ireland or abroad. A must see, especially when the sun is shining.

This is what most people think of when they want a 'perfect Irish beach', light golden sand, crystal clear water, large rocks to climb, rock pools full of fish, horses riding along the beach, surrounded by grass topped sand dunes, I could spend all day just sitting on the sand watching the waves crash in. With Derrynane House not too... More

I'm very lucky to be living not too far from this beach. Best beach in Kerry...best beach in Ireland! Gorgeous on a sunny day.

I have been to this beautiful sandy beach a number of times and still find it worth visiting. There is easy parking at Derrynane House, there are also bathroom and food there. Enjoyable walk on a nice day to an abbey/graveyard with wonderful vista views of the sea

Stopped by here on our tour of the Ring of Kerry and took a walk along the coast to find a really beautiful graveyard where some of Daniel O’Connell’s family were buried. It was a very beautiful beach with an abundance of mussels on the shore. There weren't many people around, perhaps because it was the dead of winter, but... More

This is a great place for a walk on the beach in stunning surroundings. It's a great amenity with Derrynane house right next door for parking and Keatings pub at the harbour for a great toasted special sandwich and a pint!

We visited the Derrynane Beach while touring the Ring of Kerry. It is worth a stop!! The beach is Beuatiful, there are excellent rock formations and if the tide is low an opportunity to walk to the abbey for a tour of some ruins and a graveyard. There was ample parking when we visited, but I could see how it... More

Fine beach, good parking at several spots. Nature reserve. Care needed on some parts of the beach due to strong currents, but this is clearly marked and the safe beaches well advertised. Lovely walk along the beach and across to Abbey Island
