Must Visit for all Hindus. Non-hindus are not allowed inside the temple. The uniqueness of this temple is about 1000 people can do darshan at a time and will see the entire God and all the others gods.

We visited the temple in the morning hours. With the help of our Panda(Priest) we had a nice Darshan of Lord Jagannath. We visited all the important places within the Temple compound including the Lord's Kitchen.

This is one of the Char Dhams. The architecture is exquisite, and awe inspiring. Best time to visit the temple is early in the morning (around 5 am), as it is least crowded then.

To visit Lord Jagannath, Puri is good in any time of the year. Regarding hotel - please don't choose by the auto rickshaws/taxi/visit guide person. But choose a lodge in golden sea beach. Any way food is not attractive.
