A 800-year old temple that has withstood the test of time, the elements and a multitude of oppressors. Lord Krishna as Jagannath, sister Subhadra and elder brother Balarama are the main deities in the temple. The traditions followed in the temple and the bhog (prasad) are fantastic. Be careful with the Pandas. They are too commercial and money-minded.

I visited jagannath temple on 24th feb 2017. First of all BEWARE of all pandas or priests. They are doing business in the name of holy and spoiling jagannath ji's name. They expected you to donate everywhere else you aren't qualified for the visit and abuse you. The crowd was good and the carvings on temple is good. The shrine... More

The temple iconography depicts these three Gods sitting on the bejewelled platform or the Ratnabedi in the inner sanctum. Included in one of the temples of the CharDham yatra. This temple has a interesting history of he idols. After darshan , try a... More

This is the most rich Temple, and, large number of devotees visit the place. You have locker facilities,on the way, police control the crowd. One must know in advance, when the Deity takes Bhoj. The time table keeps on changing,and,you... More

One of the most visited temples of Hindu Gods. Amazing historical facts about the Deity and the Chariot. history of its construction.......... one need to spend time alone to feel the spiritual powers, but unfortunately the pandas don't leave you alone. need to be administered better also need to keep the place clean. Over all worth a visit.
