We are great Market lovers and shop at them regularly in India but the Shillong Police Markets are very expensive and the vendors not so friendly. It's wonderful to walk through though.

This has to be the worst place in Shillong. Filthy, congested, nosy and chaotic, it's a shame that this is the town-centre. We went to look for handicrafts and regretted the decision the minute we reached there. Completely avoidable.

Has lots of local shops plus one big mall, nothing very special but is quite lively. It is the main market area of Shillong. I would recommend visiting once up there. Has lots of hotels near by.

Police Bazaar is like the typical Mall Road which every hill station has. It has street shopping as well as lots of shops. A number of good eateries on the way.
