One of the oldest wooden churches with beautiful architecture. Its a must visit when in Shillong. Its in the heart of the city so you won'y miss it. Just check on the timmings before your visit. If you are someone who loves design & architecture do pay a visit you would love the symmetry and the way its built.

I would like to clarify that the picture displayed and the title of the church is totally not a match. The picture is of the CATHEDRAL OF MARY HELP OF CHRISTIANS and not ALL SAINTS CATHEDRAL!

Photography is not allowed inside the Church else I would have shown the beauty of this great architecture.

I have seen so many churches in Delhi, Nainital and Shimla etc but this one really touched me.

It's a must visit if you are in Shillong. You will definitely add some beautiful images to your memory and not the camera.

General church rule applies, make sure when you are visiting that it's a religious place and respect their peaceful atmosphere. Give some time to yourself and let God speak with you.

The British built All Saints Church in Shillong. This is one of the oldest churches in Shillong which was damaged in an earthquake in 1897. This was rebuilt in 1902 and has retained the rebuilt structure which gives it an elegant heritage look. This has been built in colonial type architecture and is of wooden make. This is located in the centre of the town and is very near to Lady Hydari Park, State and Butterfly Museums. On Sundays it sees massive footfalls.
I went through the photographs of this church and found of the 32 photos as on today, 28 are of not of this church, including the representative photo. Maybe people should know the difference between All Saints Church and Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians.
A lovely heritage church serenity and location of which should be treasured by visitors.

I'm a Japanese living in Delhi.
I visited this place as listed here expecting a sightseeing experience.

I was there on Sunday.
Prayer was going on.
The church was full of Christians seriously praying for the God.

Impressed and left the church soon respecting the prayers.

I appreciate they allowed me to witness that.

Happened to have rainbow behind the church.
It looks like a symbol that this place is sacred.

The church in the picture isn't All saints but is Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians. We went to visit All saints Church that looked like a beautiful and fancy house from the outside but was unfortunately closed. However if you have a day to spare in Shillong and just want to walk around, make a visit to this church

Worth going to this sacred place. I visited good churches in south, Goa and Mumbai and for me this church in Shillong joins the elite list. Inside the church i like the architecture and chimes. Worth going there.
