It was a breath taking view and worth all the effort to reach there! We took the ride in horse and the ride too was fantastic experience. View from telescope is terrific.

Great views. Just can miss it. be careful with the kids, certain areas are not fully enclosed/protected. About 2.5 kms from the market area.

All points in Matheran are at different angles and this one is most appealing of all. The view is scenic and deep into the ravines of Matheran. Toy train is a must for all, despite the 1.45 hrs it takes between Matheran and Neral

I am not sure why people bother to visit this lake. Its mostly dry, monkey infested and not maintained at all. Not worth your time and effort. Skip it!

This point is has amazing views of the surrounding mountains and also gives a good view of the sunset.It is advisable to visit this place in the eveing and sit here is leisure for an hour. It is also beleived that the ghost of Louisa...More

Louisa Point is worth the walk to while in Matheran. The tranquil red soil track takes you to the point which is about 3-4 kms from the market centre. The viewpoint opens out to a large plateau with wonderful panoramic views over to Echo point...More

Is there any entry fee for the entry in Matheran? I read about this in a Q&A trip advisor. I Want to know is there any entry fee for entering into Matheran? If yes then what is the current charges they apply as an entry fee>

Yes you can cover matheran on foot. We also walked around as there is no other option than horse or by foot. We walked around 22km and covered all major spots.
