The lake is quite serene to watch. There are great views close by. The waterfall views are just amazing too. Just beware on the slopes as these can be fatal too. Overall a sure thing to do while in matheran.

It's really good place to visit, there is a small dam filled with water in rainy season and water overflow from top in rainy season only, and than goes to the valley in the form of water fall.

Just a sunken area in the hills where rain water gets accumulated during monsoon and makes the place little lively and cozy to be around.

Though a long walk in the rain, it was worth it. The place is surprisingly pristine for the number of people who visit. You should have the hot batata wada served by the hotel/dhaba just before you reach the dam.

No, camping is not allowed on the open grounds. But there are Hotels nearby and you can avail of those to stay. However, you can sit late evening near the lake and enjoy the nature.
