We see the statue of Bahubali which is almost 57-foot in height and carved from a single piece of rock situated above a hill. It was built before almost 1000 years and is one of the largest free-standing statues in the world. Bahubali, was the son of Rishabhanatha, and is revered as a liberated soul (Siddha) by the Jains. You... More

Jain temple with enormous naked statue on top of a single rock tall hill. Most of the crowd treats this place as tourist place but jain community treats this as sacred temple. There is not enough parking location because of huge crowd throughout the year. It can be covered with in a day from Bangalore. Roads leading from Bangalore to... More

The 650+ stair climb up the hill is not for the completely unfit. But climbing with socks, 20 to 30 steps at a time and resting a little helps. Reaching the first pergola itself is rewarding with some stunning views. Thats about 1/3 of the way up. The last 108 steps are steep, but have hand rails. Carey some water... More

The way on top is easy with small small breaks. Its worth the climb. Enroute you can see the scenery of city all around from Vindyagiri (Doda Betta). The Vighraha of Gommateshwara is captivating and one can sit in silence watching it for quite some time. The Chikka Betta is much easier to climb {Near the Bus Stand} It has... More

Worth the view on top of hill. Climb could be tiresome but manageable. Peaceful environment and nice to have been there
