Never knew such place exist in Manali. Ever wondered what those homes up in the mountain look like? This is the place to explore. You get so many dhabas/homes/hotel/glampeco options here. Sethan village cafe, kalzang dhaba and glampeco is must recommended. We visited in May 2023 also went for forest trek. 3 hrs trek to heaven with child safe secured and heavenly
Please do not throw bottles or even tiny bit of wrapper in the woods. Don't spoil this place please

Make sure you hire a good 4 wheel drive SUV as the roads are pretty bad especially when there is snow. Once you reach the place it is wonderful. Lovely views all around. Snow activities like zipline is available. There are also a few makeshift stalls here where you can get tea, coffee, maggi, momos etc. Go in the winter to experience lots of snow.

Thinking about favorite part about the trek, i would say the nature and its diversity. Means, its various colours and forms seen during the single trek and season is worth the watch. An advice i would give to first time trekkers is that you should not worry too much about yourself, rather enjoy the view and fresh atmosphere of the mountains and vallies.

Best experience if planning out for a trek for the very first time. Friendly guides. Good food. Good trek leaders. Nicely organised. The trek has transported me to a different world, walking at my own pace devouring the ever-changing landscape of Hampta pass and chandratal.I have no complaints absolutely, in eating whatever is offered and gears provided.Kailashrath has put so much details into small things to big things that matters as trekkers we just have to go and enjoy the trek without getting harmed. They also ensured the medical fitness of all members and accompanied us with the required medicines at necessary times. Also took care of us while crossing the coldest river with there chain method holding standstill as a strongest bond.

Is Hampta Pass only for trekking? Or is there a point we can easily visit during first week of December, to catch some breathe taking mountain views and spend some time?

Because we have to cancel our Kashmir trip we have now changed to do Hampta pass instead from 9th September and we will be taking a coach from Delhi to Manali. Our biggest worry is the Monsoon that is very bad now. Can anyone enlighten us on the condition & whether is it advisable for us to go ahead?
