Extraordinary place! The place has an enormous vibe that has to be experienced. The ride on the Brahmaputra is so serene and prepares you for what is to come!

The temple priests are greedy and ensure that they waste 3 hours , and they demand money at every point . Government should take over and liberate the place .

Took a ferry from the Ghat. Make sure to first check Govt run ferry which are cheaper as compared to private ones . The entire trip to and back from the temple took around 2 hrs

Nothing much charming about the place, except that you go there by ferry. You can book tickets in advance on its website. I suggest going there before noon. The crowd is managed by pandas, rather than the govt administration, so you will see some lousiness in the queue. The temple isn't much crowded, so you will be done within an hour. If you are there during monsoon, please check the schedule of the ferry.

Umananda Devaloi is a Shiva temple located at the Umananda Island (Peacock Island) in the middle of river. It is known as the smallest inhabited riverine island in the world. Country boats that are available on the bank of Brahmaputra take the visitors to the island. The hill on which the temple has been built is known as Bhasmacala. It was built in 1694CE in the order of King Gadadhar Singha but was broken down by an earthquake in 1867.

This a shiva temple on peacock island in the middle of the bramaputra river in guwati. I really had great expectations when I planned the visit to the island. In thd end, it was a little disappointing overall. It eventually took us nearly 2 hrs for darshan simply because the pandits were only interested in collecting money from each devotee

The journey to the island is via a government ferry or private one. My advice will be to take thd private one, they are more expensive but run more frequently. We ended up waiting for more than 90 minutes for the ferry to bring us back.

Ordinary Temple on a very small river island. More prominent for religious reasons.
However, Ropeway and Cruise Services by Assam Government are worth enjoying which can be booked/reserved online.

It is an ancient shiva parvati temple on an island created in the middle of bhramaputra river. It is a holy place and every hour there is a ferry service that takes you too and fro. For the govt ferry which is cheaper at 20 rs per adult by jan 2022 rates, you have to register online post covid. Also they wait for one hour on the island and next one leaves after two hours or so. The temple is at a height and requires a little climb. Worth going here but take directions from a trust source or Google, locals don't understand much hindi or english.
