We spent a day on Neil Island. There is not much to do but watch the sunset. However that sunset was worth a trip across the globe. We live in southern Arizona where extraordinary sunsets are ordinary. The sunset at Neil was indescribable. I cant post pictures yet but will later.

The beaches can be compared to best in the world. Specially Lakshanpur at sunset and Bharatpur during low tide are best.

After visiting Havelock island i proceeded for Neil island which smaller than havelock. Beaches here are same as that of Havelock island but with more corals on them. Bharatpur brach is best.

Rocky beaches but extremely mind blowing views. Very peaceful place to stay in. Food is also delicious. And those green coconuts.

Great place to relax away from all the crowd and hustle. Can spend a day or even weeks exploring different beaches and understanding the island. Few hotels and local transportation could be a hassle but bicycles and motorcycles are available in rent. Beaches are not as popular as in Havelock but all the places are serene and equally mesmerising.

If you're fed up with your busy lifestyle and you need a rest by living an isolated place for some days, Neil island is perfect for you..It's a tiny island..You can experience here a real beach lifestyle mixed up with typical Indian culture,a perfectly peaceful and isolated area..also the tourist attractions nearby like Natural Bridge, Bharatpur beach & Sitapur beach..

This is a small island close to Havelock. It welcomes you with a wide angle views of the crystal clear blue waters. the pathway leading from the jetty drop point to the island is picturesque and sight to see. The beaches are quite different from one another. I would not mind to go back to this place again!!

Its a small town with a population of about 5000 people. Neil island has 3 beaches of which Bharatpur is the best. A good place to spend a quiet day in solitude - away from concrete jungles and the hustle 7 bustle of city life. Transportation is difficult and cars have to be booked in advance. Bharatpur Beach has all... More
