    Wow place
This is the best beach for water sports. It is a must visit if you go to Havelock. There is a trek of around 2 kms to reach the beach. Best to go with a local guide. Entry starts at 8 am and the last entry is a 1 pm. You can easily spend about 3-4 hours there. You may use your own snorkeling equipment here in a small area, but that area also has a lot of marine life.

    Good experience
The sports activities are very good . The parasailing is very expensive. The fruit plate available on this beach are very delicious . I am glad we visited this people where the people are still untouched with the negative traits of a city life . The activities are well organised

A fun day at Elephant beach.
Elephant beach can be approached mainly through water (boat) Rs 1000 per person from Havelock jetty ( 30 minute waiting and 15 min boat ride) Or through a walking trail 30-45 min (starting from enroute point of Radhanagar beach). It is not a peaceful beach, However its full of water sports activities. Our favourite was para sailing. Food: Cup o Noodles, samosa, Jhal Moori(akin to bhel puri), fruit chaat and water. Thats it. Paid. : Changing rooms, lockers and washrooms available. Activities: Snorkeling, Para Sailing, Jet ski, Glass bottom boat, Banana boat rides. My kid (8 yrs old boy) loved the rides. We left at 11 am from hotel room and were back in room by 4 pm. Exhausted (Sun and activities). Plan accordingly

    Elephant Beach
Elephant beach can be reached by boat or by Trek at Havelock Island. Both the ways to reach Elephant beach and the boat ride starts at Havelock Island jetty .The trekking point starts close to the Radhanagar beach and its a 2.5 Km trek from Radhanagar to Elephant beach through pristine tropical jungle forrest and finally passing through a mangrove forest to reach the beach. I had opted for the treacherous trek route through ankle deep mud and slippery hill slopes . Guides are available at Rs 500/return trip to the beach and thanks to my guide Sujoy.Mondal and my pair of walking sticks that i completed the trek both ways.. Most of the travelers visit this place in a boat.Elephant beach is very famous for the variety of untouched corals and rich marine life with diverse species. The coral reefs of this beach start about a meter or two from the beach and i did spot vibrant corals and schools of colorful fish swimming around .Sea walking is a unique activity in the Andaman Islands and this activity is available at Elephant beach. Sea walk is the first of its kind in India and you can get this done at Havelock Island.Havelock Elephant beach got its name from Elephants that used to roam in the vicinity of the beach decades ago when elephants were used for timber logging on Havelock and nearby Islands.

    Excellent for water activities
Gobonly if you like to do water activities. We did sea walk, snorkeling, glass bottom ride and other rides. Boat provides complimentary snorkeling but one can opt to go in deep sea with extra charge. The arrangement and divers are so talented, even non swimmer like us enjoyed every bit. 3 hours is given for boat passengers. Last boat is around 1pm and activities close by 3pm. Starts by 8:30am depending upon weather conditions.

    A good experience but expensive
Water sports at elephant beach are very expensive as compared to other beaches in India. However if with kids its a good destination to do water sports. Some water sorts unique to that region can be explored. Like mini submarine and sea walk. Rest can be done other places in India at a much cheaper rate. However the activities there are well managed. Locker facility is also available. The boat ride to elephant beach is also very expensive

    Beach for water sports
This is a good beach for water sports. You can reach this beach via a boat ride or via trekking. I reached via a boat from havelock jetty. This jetty is a crowded place filled with so many agents/vendors etc. There are people/stalls selling tickets for various water sports, which can be used at elephant beach. Most of these tickets/vouchers can be refunded (some fully, some partially) in case you later decide not to take part in water sports. The boat ride costs Rs.1000 per person (snorkeling is complimentary with boat ticket). It's free for small kids/infants. The elephant beach has very fine sand. Due to lots of water sports happening left and right, this is not a beach to just sit and relax. There are small shacks/stores selling food, coconuts, drinks etc. As usual (at any typical touristic place), prices of items are double the normal rates. Water sports include glass-bottom-ride, Sea walk, jet ski etc. There is locker facility in this beach. There are changing rooms/toilets on the beach. However, due to lack of electricity, the rooms are typically dark.

This beach is a grade-A hellhole dump. How on earth anybody is rating it on here as anything beyond a 1, is beyond me. The close to 30 minute trek from the road is the best part. Close to the beach you get to a swampy outlet that you have to cross. Once over the brown outlet you start to see the junk and rubbish building up. As to get further you hear the continuous drone of engines and the thick smell of exhaust fumes. Breaking the tree line you are treated with the worst beach I think I have seen. Any peace of junk that can be inflated and towed is moored up ready. Boats pulling towable stuff every which way, along with dangerously quick jetskis. The beach is lined with stalls selling fruit or drinks - we didn’t hang around long enough to ask a price. My closing images were overflowing bins, trash in the sea, and people floating all over the swimming area with life jackets and hard rings - it looked like a ferry had just sank.

If every ride was given to me free, and I was helicoptered in, I wouldn’t go back.

In our entire 7 day andaman trip, organised very well by Andaman bliss, i would recommend to skip a trip to elephant beach.

It is one of the only place in Andaman totally commericalized, over crowded. The free snorkelling is a joke as their aim to convert each person to a paid activity. Snorkeling is done very close to where the boats move.

But all the water activities are very professional done. They have paid changing rooms, showers etc available.
Enough seating and place is even senior citizen friendly.

Actually if you find a trekking guide than one can trek from Havelock to Elephant beach, which we missed as lack of prior information.

If you are in the Port Blair it's worthy to explore elephant beach by tracking, covers a distance of about 3500 steps on one side with scenic beauty. At beach one' find the walk is successful.

Just small overcrowded beach . Dirty water, nothing to do. Don t spend money for boat, around 1000 per person.
Sea walk is cool, but expensive 3500 for 10-15 minutes.

Well maintained, near and clean beach. Lot's of activities to do and have fun!! Best spot for snorkelling. I snorkelled, parasailed, rode the submarine, and jet skied. All of these activities are assistant by trained professionals so I did not worry a lot. It was an experience of a lifetime.

There are plenty of rides. Be cautious, we got tricked. They say scuba diving is complementary and then force you to pay 5000 rs. First they check initially for 2 minutes ud you like then we will do 10 to 15 minutes, then they start taking your pictures and videos and force you to shell out 2000 rs, saying you agreed for paid one. They trick you. Tell them I only want complementary, no pictures and videos and am not paying anything..they won't come near you. If you really want ask them, if it's 10 minutes or more otherwise for 3 minutes they charge 2000 rs, not worth it.
