I stumbled upon this cemetery while walking on new pedestrian bridge. The area is small and well maintained. These headstones are VERY old which adds to it's charm. I suggest walking the trail nearby after exploring here.

Although Veteran's Day activity is planned here every year it is moved into the local middle school just around the corner due to weather. Close by is Indian Run Falls park and the cemetary so people can take a hike to explore nature while visiting Historic Dublin. Make a stop in the new Library, take in Lunch and visit some of the other shops around High Street.

Quiet and serene spot that leads into a beautiful small hike that has some pretty falls with Bridge Park just across the way.

The grounds of remembrance to the fighters in many wars America has been in is well done. Simplified and understated. Lots of soldiers names in the bricks by the walkways. It is adjacent to an OLDE cemetery surrounded by an old hand built stone wall. Many of the tombstones are weathered to the point of being unreadable, if not broken. There is a large one, set laying on the ground under a big old tree. I wouldn’t mind being buried in that tranquil spot.
Just across on corner is the ultra modern new public library building. Across the other is the brand new foot bridge across the river to the Bridge Street area Dublin has been developing. It’s a great area to visit!
There is also a creek side trail behind the cemetery that runs up and down ridges. It’ll make you forget your anywhere near a large city. Pretty area!
Go. Be respective. Explore.

Indian Run Cemetery is very small. Although it is listed as an acre, it feels smaller than that. It is an OLD cemetery with tombstones dating to the early 1800s and it appears to be an area in which vandalism happens often. We spent about a 20 minutes trying to read many of the worn headstones before heading to dinner nearby, as you are in a nice area here.

This is the site of where the new and old Dublin meet. The project is over 1/2 completed and slated to open the New Dublin Library on June 6 2019. The Pedestrian Bridge will be completed sometime before November 1 2019.
The Grounds of Remembrance consists of over 200 names of those lives lost in all types of combat from the civil war to the latest war of Terror. This is located beside the new Branch of the Columbus Public Library Dublin Branch again to be opened June 6 2019 with much more reading volumes and meeting and seminar rooms with power point facilities.
The original buildings with US Historical markers stand in the original 1810 downtown. However many of them have been restored to meet the heritage of the new Bridge Park district east of the Scioto River with many apartments, restaurants and lodging facilities.

Due to the construction happening in the town we had a hard time finding this memorial and to be honest I’m not entirely sure we found the whole thing.
We were in town over Independence day and would have loved to see the town put in effort in getting people to this somber park honoring a big part of American history.
Simple park perfect for self reflection and paying your respects.

A very patriotic park in remembrance of the veterans who served our country with distinction. A solemn area to reflect on the freedoms we have because of dedicated veterans and military service members.

This place is hidden away and easy to miss. As I walked the path and read the names of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice I was humbled. This is within walking distance from downtown Dublin.

To be honest, I didn't know this was tucked away. I have lived here for a while; I didn't know this was erected and put into place. My husband and I went to Indian Run for a walk and we got to the Grounds of Remembrance and I was pleasantly surprised. I was very humbled to step onto the grounds of such a place. I feel this is a beautiful homage within the city of Old Dublin to honor our fallen Heroes and Veterans. Thank you for serving, nothing we do will ever be enough.
I recommend 1-2 hours to visit to sit and reflect, as well as walk through Indian Run park.
