The expansion of the Columbus Museum has added to the attractiveness of this place. It still features some interesting work from master artists, as well as some wacky new stuff.

Since the new wing opened, the museum has placed more and more emphasis on modern art. That is admirable, however it has been at the expense of the older art. The Master's exhibits are often closed, and bare space on the walls and throughout the museum abounds. It is a fine place to take young children, as there are numerous... More

We've had this on our hit list for a while and finally got time to visit. Really enjoyed the diversity of art and exhibits along with the energy that came from groups wandering the halls, lectures and interactive sticky notes with some emotional (and some not) messages about the art displayed. When we were there, a large and well-presented exhibit... More

My wife and I have visited Are Museums in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Toledo, Dayton and Indianapolis over the last four years and Columbus was by far the biggest disappointment. $14 for nothing, very little material, nothing special or unique, half the exibits were closed or being replaced. SMALL building with little of value. This is the State Capital's best, Dayton blew... More

Went to see the "Dangerous Woman" and the Bodies @ Work exhibits and thoroughly enjoyed both. Also has a fantastic children's area with numerous "hands-on" features. The museum shop was full of unique and clever gifts.

Beautiful renovation and extension of the Columbus Museum of Art, with a new modern wing nicely integrated and connected to the old building. The collection features nice pieces of American and European paintings with several noteworthy gems. The temporary galleries also present great exhibitions, including talented painter Honoré Sharrer whom we discovered today. Really worth a visit (shown until May... More

Great works of art - many world renown artists. Works are nicely displayed. Flow and traffic pattern guides you through the museum nicely. LEGGO Display is awesome..

Wow how things change. Spent many days here years ago when I lived in Columbus. Had a well organized, well displayed collection of masters and local artists. Stopped back through to see what had changed and basically everything has. Somewhere under the inappropriate political commentary boards and racist sticky notes posted all over there is probably the exceptional collection of... More

Went on a Sunday morning date to the museum of art. Lots of small, interesting exhibits with a large variety of the types of art. Had a very enjoyable time! The dog art was our favorite, for sure. The parking was also very convenient. We'd definitely go back.
