Scioto Mile is a beautiful park along the Scioto River in downtown Columbus. As you stroll, run or bike the park paths you get to view cool architecture, memorials and statues. Further along the park, there is a FREE rock climbing wall, a huge fountain (off for the season until summer) and many other items of interest. There was a... More

A mile of bronze sculptured fish and lilly pad fountains, large fountains and a special pulsing fountain for children and the young at heart awaits you. Ample coverd benches to rest, relax, and people-watch. Plenty of grass expanse to picnic or enjoy an impromptu band. The riverfront is always a buzz with activity. The Firemen's Memorial is at one end... More

We come here almost every year because it's always in a path of a festival or just to walk and spend some time taking in the downtown views. if you are a out of towner visiting Cbus, highly recommend stopping here to take in the excellent scenery. Also make sure to see if a festival is happening at that time(art... More

This is a great place to take your family on a hot day! Put on your swimsuit/ water friendly clothes and take a walk through the sprinklers! You can pack a picnic lunch and spend the afternoon, not bad for a free activity with the kids!

I have been to the arts and rib & jazz fest. They always offer great vendors creative works of art at affordable prices and also on the high end for those with deeper pockets. The food vendors are always great many different restaurants or types of food to try both of these events draw a nice crowd from Columbus and... More

Really enjoyed wandering along these riverside pathways checking out the beautiful architecture and unique bridges in this area. It is clear the city has recently done many upgrades to make the waterfront more user friendly for all. Pretty fountains, great spots to sit and take in the view. Almost deserted early evening on a Sunday in February - looks like... More

Based off the reviews, I thought this would be an amazing place, but I must admit, I was disappointed. It is great to have an area to walk/run near the water but the water is muddy. The walk/run path isn't long at all. There just wasn't much to see aside from the downtown buildings. I wouldn't return.

The Scioto waterfront is a wonderful place to walk or ride a bike. In the warmer months, the fish fountains are fun to look at, the swings facing the river have music piped in. The open space is a pleasure on the edge of downtown.

Since they have renovated and now there are walkways along the river, it's even better. You can walk on street level and there are benches, swings and water fountains all along the walk. Venture down, closer to the river and there are long walking/biking paths that lead from one end of downtown to the other. Pop up into Bicentennial Park... More

Excellent downtown location for a walk and enjoying the city. Take a walk along the river and end up at the free water park. So much fun for kids and adults too. There's a wonderful outdoor music venue for summer concerts. Milestone 229 is a great restaurant located at the end of Scioto mile. Stop in for a drink or... More
