I think just about every city in the midwest that built a theater in the roaring 20s named it some kind of palace. I know of at least two that still survive, this one and one only 60 miles north in Marion, so make sure you google the right one. Anyway, it would be nice if the parking garages connected... More

The seating is designed for CHILDREN. Three days after the event my knees and back still hurt. I'm tall but slender. Couldn't really enjoy the show because of the discomfort. Won't be going back there regardless of the event. Think before you go.

I took my daughter here to see "Roctopia". The show was great, but the rows are so close together there's no legroom to even cross your legs (and I'm 5' 5", so not tall at all)! If we return I'll be sure to get a front row seat. On a positive note, the ushers were very friendly and the sound... More

My wife and I have gone to several concerts here. The most recent was Dave Koz's Christmas show! Fantastic venue and fantastic show!

We saw dancing with the stars here and it was outstanding! I'll definitely be looking for more shows & events here. Any place you sit is a stunning view.

The Palace Theater is a beautiful theater built in a bygone era and decorated accordingly. It's the perfect setting for a smaller act. In our case The Head and the Heart. Even the "nosebleeds" provide a pretty good view. My only complaint was that the beverage/snack line took 30 minutes to get through and it closed less than half way... More

We just saw Chris Rock and it was great. The theater is beautiful. Only complaint is that they definitely need more bars. It was impossible to get a drink. People around us were waiting in like 30-40 minutes for a drink and missing the show. We would have bought drinks but not with a wait like that.

The show was outstanding and everything we expected. The theater was beautiful and well maintained. Worth a visit just to see the theater.

We attended a comedy show at the Palace this past Saturday. We had seats on the flour about 8 rows back from the stage. The seats were a bit worn, but not totally uncomfortable. There were plenty of ushers to help find our seats at arrival and plenty of exits open to make departing the building easy. The history and... More
