A Christmas Story House, now restored to its movie splendor, is open year round to the public for tours. Directly across the street from the house is the official A Christmas Story House Museum, which features original props, costumes and memorabilia from the film, as well as hundreds of rare behind-the-scenes photos. Among the props and costumes are the toys from the Higbee's window, Randy's snowsuit, the chalkboard from Miss Shields' classroom and the family car. After reliving A Christmas Story at Ralphie's house don't forget to visit the museum gift shop for your own Major Award Leg Lamp and other great movie memorabilia.

A Christmas Story is my husbands favorite Christmas movie so he wanted to go here when I had a Dr appointment in the area. We visited other attractions in the area but this was definitely our favorite. There were so many things that you don't know are hiding in plain sight in the movie. Great fun to learn how and... I happened to be staying overnight in Cleveland this December and realized last minute that A Christmas Story was filmed there. Luckily, A Christmas Story House is open longer during the holiday season, so I rushed downstairs to have the front desk call me a cab. The cab ride from downtown Cleveland was only 10 minutes (if that) and cost... More

The Christmas Story house is fun. If you like they movie you will enjoy it. If you LOVE the movie you will absolutely be thrilled. The phone has a recording of Ralphie's mom screaming about where Ralphie learned the cuss word. You can climb in under the sink to hide from Daddy. We really enjoyed it. There was no snow... More

Entertaining and very hands on. Nothing is original so you can touch everything (even climb under the kitchen sink)! Our tour guide was good, although I think she exaggerated some facts and figures. PS. Don't bother paying the neighbor $10 to park. Street parking is free.

We've had this on the to do list for a couple years. Finally had some extra time during a trip to the Cleveland area. The gift shop has a ton of fun items to browse. The tour was very informative and lasted about 45 minutes. Plenty of free parking, beware of neighbors trying to get you to pay $5 to... More

Fun place to visit to say you've been there! I recommended visiting here in conjunction with a night out at one of the many great places in Tremont.

My husband ran in the Christmas Story 5k on Saturday. We wanted to see the house & museum that day, but the lines were crazy long - literally around the block. So we sent back the next day, Sunday. The place is far more hands-on than I had expected. We could touch items, sit on furniture, lay on beds, etc...... More
