What a fascinating little place! And it's free! The exhibits covering the history of contraception were fascinating. Who knew women used herbs and lemons? We were there about 1.5 hours and could have spent another hour if we hadn't been overtired from visits to other museums. I checked the website before our trip so we had no trouble finding the... Impressive collection. I've gone to medical museums in Belgium and Williamsburg and this was better than both. I went to another one that was more comprehensive in hs but this one is pretty great especially since it's off the beaten path. I was a fellow at case and didn't even know about it my bf found it when visiting me.... More

I like the historical value of the items on display. It is like no other museum you will ever visit. I learned more that I ever thought I would about medical stuff I never thought about. I went with a grown up friend who was into this sort of different more cerebral presentation. This might be a best kept secret... More

Excellent display on contraception throughout the ages. Many medical instruments and artifacts on display. Interesting collection of venereal disease posters from the mid-20th century.

It's mostly a lot of instruments from the early days of medicine, stories of medical advancements and the people that led them. I think i enjoyed it more than my boyfriend did, im a little more into the medical stuff than he is, okay alot more lol It was very cool but, not so easy to find, unless you ask... More

I thought the Dittrick Museum was very interesting. The highlight of their collection seems to be birth control artifacts but they have a lot of other displays, such as a collection of historical microscopes, an infant-sized iron lung from the days of polio, early x-ray equipment and old anatomical models. I was delayed getting to the museum and I didn't... More

As a doctor I found much more of it interesting than others might, but there was enough to make this an interesting 2nd or 3rd day attraction for an hour or so. I found the history of contraception both interesting and humorous. I have to credit women with bigger $*^!s than I have considering some of the things they did... More
