What a wonderful museum. Most of the art is by native Ohioans. We enjoyed reading the descriptive signs about each painting. They have a nice gift shop.

We drove down to Canton which is about an hour from our home. We included the museum as part of a day trip to the area. There were several interesting pieces in the permanent collection, but, unfortunately for us, the two special collections featured during...More

My husband and I recently visited the Canton Museum of Art. The permanent art collection is small, but worth seeing. They were featuring Elijah Pierce artwork, which was quite interesting. We visited on a Thursday, and we were happy to learn Thursdays are free admission....More

They had 6 rooms of art. A couple of them were really cool! Nice place, small but fairly cheap. There's a civic theatre in the same building.

Although a smaller museum, they bring in a wide variety of traveling exhibits. I also enjoy the First Friday offerings, and the different community exhibits.
