Take a short stroll or horse tram ride over the wooden causeway that connects the mainland at Victor Harbor to Granite Island Recreation Park. Enjoy the coastal scenery and discover the island's interesting history along the Kaiki Walk or go fishing from the jetty, or causeway (no fishing from breakwater). You may even spot a southern right whale between June and October.

We recently visited granite island for the first time, and we weren't disappointed. It's beautiful and very relaxing. Worth a visit. Just don't go on a windy day or you'll be blown away.

We enjoyed the walk around Granite Island, although a bit windy, we found the walk easy & well marked. Able to complete the walk in a clockwise direction between tramrides. It would take less time doing it in anti clockwise direction, coming down the stairs...More

I'm afraid not - dogs and cats are prohibited - there are even spot fines for anyone who misses/ignores the signs. Walk out to the Bluff instead just along the coast a bit at Encounter Bay
