I can totally appreciate how someone found so much inspiration here, stunning. The $10 fee to gain entry is worth it, to help preserve this amazing peice of SA heritage. The gardens are wonderful and roaming them was relaxing and inspiring.

Spent a fabulous afternoon at the Cedars and did the tour of the house then walked the grounds. The guide captured Heysen's passion for gum trees and light. It was very special seeing how he lived and how it translated into his art. Thoroughly recommended.

What a joy seeing the home of one of Australia's greatest artists. To see his studio and the trees that inspired him was a dream. Doesn't take long to see but worth the effort.

It's quite a walk but a short taxi drive.. I'd suggest taking a taxi as it won't be too expensive and shame to miss it. The Handorf tourist office is on the main street too and they should be able to help you with a taxi.

Hi, There are 2 tours I think. One just to the studio, maybe need 30 minutes. I assume they still do a tour of the home, probably need 1.5 hrs. But it would be flexible.
