Didn't do the trail but the gorge was fabulous. Lots of signed geological markers and spots of interest to check out. There are some stromatolites early on, and the archaeocyath reef area was fun- take some water to pour over the rocks so the fossils can be seen. Within the gorger there are yellow footed rock wallabies, which are very cute. I loved the huge gum trees in the dry creek beds.
Park has drop toilets which are well maintained. Roads withint the park can be bouncy and rough- 4 wheel drive needed.

Nice drive to here . Best with4 WD . Nice Geological formations and Time Lines. 500- 600 million year old rocks. Get out of the car and walk up the ravines to see a good variety of rock types and some plant fossils in the slate sedimentery rock.
Look and you will see small caves in the rock faces . Low and behold , out hops a endangered Yellow footed rock Wallaby. So cute and enjoyable to see. Do It !

Drive into Brachina Gorge and appreciate the age by looking for the geology signs. We were treated to a sighting of the Yellow Tailed Rock Wallabies too. A lovely unspoilt place.

We were keen to see this feature, and it was truly amazing. There has been flooding, and this is apparent in the road surface (though it had been cleared, some repairs are still needed) - it is definitely only for 4WD. Makes you really appreciate the land, the passage of time, and our relative insignificance in terms of nature! Would be impressive when the water is running!

Stunning gorge, fascinating trail to follow, water flowing in the Gorge so be careful after considerable rainfall, road needed regrading in places.

Make sure you visit this Gorge. Rough roads/creek beds but ok for a normal car. Was recently graded when we went so even better fro us! Get out and walk along sections fo the creek bed loking at the rock faces and search for the wallabies.

We drove this trail from Bunyeroo. Whilst the driving was challenging at times it was an essential part of our exploration. Yellow footed rock wallabies too for wildlife watchers
