We flew into Williams Creek over Lake Eyre and the lake was full of water and because of all the rain we saw the head waters of another lot of water about to top up the lake. I will be back but this time we...More

A right of passage, every Australian should visit at least once. As each years conditions leave a different landscape, multiple visits are rewarding. Get up in a small plane and discover from the air - it's breathtaking.

While we missed seeing it full of water Lake Eyre was quite spectacular. We didn't spend a lot of time there but did wander down to the edge. The view is amazing - it stretches all the way to the horizon. A recommended stopover.

This is the largest salt lake of the world - so you will not miss the opportunity to see this when you visit the outback. Just loved our stop here and the view on the white salt lake is just beautiful.

Although we only saw it by air, it is a spectacular site. We will be returning when we have more time to visit the area properly.

Traveling by road is fairly good going by oodnadatta track. Once you are at lake eyre there are tracks everywhere, good maps are a must, spare tyres, food. It is a massive inland lake, it will test out your 4x4 skills in the area. I...More
