A wonderful beach

A beautiful beach but more interesting for those looking for cassowaries, hard to find in most places but saw a family here - a beutiful bird with wonderful colours.

This stop isn't on the main road, but it's beautiful drive out. Walk the beach and grab a coffee, you may even be lucky enough to be introduced to the local cassowary family.

This cute beach is like a hidden gem. It is like a rainforest meeting the beach. The caravan park is handy as it is off the beaten track. The enclosed swimming beach was both safe and refreshing. We saw a few cassowaries as it was late in the afternoon. we were told that the night fishing was good but we... More

Gorgeous beach just about an hour drive from mission beach. Lovely for swimming outside of stinger season (Nov-march). Public toilets, BBQ plates and picnic benches. We were also lucky enough to see some sky divers land on the beach which was really cool 😃

A very good spot for a swim. My 5 year old grandsdon loves it plus there are lots of trees to escape from the sun and a cafe. Plus some Cassowaries wondering about looking for extra food - so take care of yours!

Was told that Cassoway's often came to the beach late afternoon so we went to see. The bay is very nice and had a good cafe where we had a very nice snack. The water was very inviting so we went in. The water does have a lot of debit floating around but was very warm and we enjoyed it.... More

Etty Bay is a little off the track but well worth the visit if you're after a quiet and calm little beach. There are a few shade trees, and a place to buy drinks and snacks, too. Perfect for young families as it is so quiet and there is no traffic around. Just love this spot. Plus, we got to... More

Driving down the road through the National Park, there are warning signs about recent cassowary sightings. When you arrive at the Bay, the beach is wonderful. When we were there we saw two adult cassowarries and a juvenile walking the beach.

We were told this is the place to find a Cassowary. We walked along the white sand beach, very pretty. There is a campground adjacent. We didn't see a Cassowary at the beach but did see one with his juvenile just up the road
