Top spot for a quiet day out. If you are in the area. Peaceful. September was great during the day. It got cooler at night. Good for sitting around a fire with a glass of red. Top spot.

The highlight (if you don't have a boat/kayak etc) is the drive across the dam wall - pretty special. If you are after some red claw the place is full of them.

This is a very clean, beautiful water way. Lots of Redclaw to catch, and a good clean area for swimming. Very easy to launch boat into the Dam. Lots of parking, and a lovely area for a barbecue or picnic.

This is a definite while in the Emerald area whether it be a day visit or whether one stays at the caravan park out there. Make the time!

An easy place to get to from both highways (south and west), with a continuous drive, and a number of places to stop to take in the magnificent scenery, the water and the dam construction.

Construction works underway but a beautiful place to visit. The drive over the bridge was delightful and once at the other end, the view is pleasant. Love the colour of water.

Didn't actually know this was here, we were looking for caravan park. Pretty amazing to stumble on, pulled up for lunch near the spillway.

As many as you can catch within the trap limit. Just check with a local as I don't eat them, but I thought it was 10 traps.
