Yeah ok the place needs some TLC but the collection and hidden gems are what it's all about. Steve has put his heart and soul into this outstanding collection and you could see some Leaf Stick Insects and Peppermint Stick insects which are really cool,...More

i thought this place was something really special. There are 100s of stunning bugs n butterflies collected from all over the world (and the daintree region) and gathered into a display museum. unbelievable specimens. they also have a beautiful creek to cool off in.

I cannot recommend this place enough. It is a display of one man's collection of tropical insects. The collection is amazing. The colours and sizes of the insects are great. Great way to learn more about the tropics. Pro tip: bring cash.

This was an interesting collection with some bugs I've never heard of (eg, one with a body like a peanut). $10 is quite expensive for one room. My disappointment was that we were given incorrect information about the Daintree Icecream Company (she said it was...More

BUT it is in need of some serious TLC - or a new curator with modern knowledge and ideas for presentation. Even a day or 2s work with a printer and laminator would be a start! It will be very sad if this amazing collection...More
