We normally start the walk up from the Rose bay side, it's a fairly easy walk which should take about 69 minutes round trip

My wife and I did this walk/hike in January of 2019, quite hot, but well worth every ounce of H20 carried. Don't overlook this gem if you are in the vicinity! You will see around corners, so to speak. Put on sensible shoes, carry water, camera, snacks, grit, and enjoy!

We are from Colorado, USA, so this altitude was not an issue. The heat could be if you don't start earlier or later in the day. Visiting on Jan. 21st, 2019 means bring H20, duh. Easy hike to do the whole thing, even being 65. We walked from Sky View motel then did the hike and back, Bring H20 is all. From Horseshoe Bay side the first lookout is fantastic. The World War II site is well worth it. The nice trek between beaches is full of a cooling breeze. The last stint of seeing Mother Beddock and to Rose Bay road and then to Horseshoe Bay road to the motel was delightful. Not because it was the end of the hike, but because of the sights you can see of the land, the drainage, the telephone poles to the region, Port Denison in the distance, the town Center. Just do it!…

Despite the information signs saying that it's a grade 4 climb it is QUITE EASY! best done from the rose bay side, the views are UNREAL
