We heard about this place from a local. It is wonderful. Beautiful swimming in the clear waters here. Not as touristy as nearby and much busier Mossman Gorge. (and you can grab some fresh bananas on the way from a number of roadside stalls). Totally...More

Very popular spot. Is a little low in water at the moment but that didn't stop people from enjoying it. The council has done a great job putting in wonderful facilities that have a reduced environmental impact. Free of charge too, which is wonderful for...More

No doubt this is a beautiful spot, however the March flies were in plague proportions! It would have been great to know this so we could have prepared (we stopped at the visitor information centre). We weren’t able to stay at the boulders as a...More

Off the beaten track and not on any tours we could find, this is a nice spot for a picnic and a dip in the water.

On the way back to Cairns. I went to have a break there and it look beautiful and relaxing. But the water is low in this time.

When you arrive look at the swimming hole which is so so and then head along the track to the left all the way to the end. Brilliant view of the granite gorge and sapphire pools in the rocks

Recently visited whilst travelling with a caravan to Cairns. Lovely area with lawns, facilities and playground. The access to tge waters edge is very good and safe.
