Who would have thought, a real life Chinese temple in the Tablelands!! Having been to China a fair few times, I was just amazed to see this real Chinese Temple in Atherton, Tablelands. This is a must to see if you are in the area.

A very interesting trip into history at the Hou Wang Chinese Temple. The photographic display was very detailed as well. I would recommend a visit to see how inventive and what amazing workers the Chinese immigrants were.

The entire site, and the highly informed commentary, is a reminder of the Chinese past of the region, but the highlight for me was the utter beauty of the temple building which was constructed of timber and corrugated iron. It was built with the cheapest...More
