About
Stony Creek Gallery is an amazingly warm and welcoming space, nestled amongst the picturesque bushland of Victoria's famed spa country. The gallery walls are lined with original paintings by resident artist Michael Parker. With works derived from natural elements, and inspiration drawn from the Australian landscape, Michael's resin paintings are truly spectacular. The gallery also contains an extraordinary range of ceramics, blown glass, timber works, jewellery and sculptures by local Australian artists. Even the floor itself is an artwork; a handwritten, original and inspiring story painstakingly painted by Michael Parker. The gallery is also home to a beautiful sculpture garden with a stunning collection of contemporary sculptures and artworks. Entry to the gallery is free and on arrival you will be provided with a complimentary glass of bubbles to help soak in the unique beauty of your surroundings. Relax and unwind, take a sip and enjoy every moment.

The gallery has an eclectic range of art works, and you can probably find something to suit your taste. Reading a previous comment that the gallery is pricey, maybe the writer did not take into account that these items are not mass produced by a machine but individually crafted by the artist. The shop does have limited hours which can be annoying.

This gallery should be on your list of places to visit. We were greeted with champagne in a handmade glass. The variety and quality of art, ceramics, glassware, jewellery etc was inspiring. Outside is an area full of stunning sculptures and quirky garden ornaments. We will definitely return anytime we are in the area.

Visited the gallery with my parents & were amazed. The staff are very friendly without being pushy and provide lots of helpful information about the art & the artists. The outdoor pieces are wonderful. We spent about an hour there & thoroughly enjoyed it. One of the highlights.

Cannot believe the gallery is closed Tuesday AND Wednesday, and during this very busy school holiday. We planned on visiting after our first trip here in 2014. But it’s closed the two days we were here…Very disappointing. Yes, I know, we Should’ve checked the hours, but seriously, what chance it would be shut two days midweek during this very busy period?

Great range of products can be found here, but their hours of operation are quite limited - even when the town was overflowing and people were trying to enter (such as over the Labor Day weekend) and they shut their doors at 4pm - silly business acumen.

Having made a special trip to buy Christmas presents at gallery in Vincent street was very disappointed that they were closed having bought from here and other gallery quite expensive articles with only 3 weeks till Christmas and given that they had a lean time through COVID I am amazed they were not making the most of opportunities there were many people in town at the time so I guess we weren’t the only disappointed customers do you want customers or not?

it is worth a visit, there are some lovely pieces there and a wide range. My only problem is that I like visiting galleries and shopping in peace. I found the assistants way too dominant I wanted to be left alone, this led me to look at the gallery quickly.

We called in here last week on the way back to our hotel, just for a look-see before closing. Big mistake!! :-) The glassware collections were stunning, ceramics and pottery really nice and the jewellery provided comfort for the magpies amongst us! Well worth a look and if I had more room in my bag I would have bought up big. They do offer delivery all over Australia. Also, couldn't fault the non-pushy service from the woman in attendance at this gallery and the champagne was an unexpected bonus...offered before we purchased too!

We passed by the gallery on a trip through the area and decided to come back another day, which we did.
It is very seldom that you walk into an art gallery and love almost everything on display.
This was the case with the Stony Creek Gallery. Both my wife (my better half...) and myself fell in love with the place. The building is beautifully designed to begin with, with beautiful lighting and layout.
The garden outside is pretty and the sculptures are great.
Once you step into the gallery itself, you are welcomed by an extremely friendly proprietor and by a bright and happy colourful world of art and fantasy, including paintings, sculptures and jewellery.
The works on display are by a few artists, some local and some from overseas.
We truly loved almost everything that was there and didn't want to leave. It is more like visiting a beautiful museum of art than merely a gallery that sells art.
Definitely one of the best art galleries we have ever been to!!
