The person that runs this business was incredibly rude and scoffed at me when I informed her it was me not my husband that was going in the boat with my daughter. Half way through hour half hour boat ride I asked if I could swap to give my husband a turn with my daughter she said “no” and walked off. We paid $35 for half an hour I thought it was really rude that she wouldn’t let me swap so my daughter could have a turn with her dad. Mean spirited, wil not be going back.

This park is always lovely for a walk around the lake. The half Loop that has the boathouse on. It is really quite pretty. It’s fairly flat and well-maintained so easily accessible for all the other half that is across the road is bumpy rough to maintain and requires you to walk on the road part of the way it’s always a nice start but it’s a quick 30 minute walk around the lake there’s not much else to do and the café is over priced

A walk around the lake is well worth it. You can do the half lake 1.4k or the full 2.4 walk. It’s an easy walk and the views are tremendous. You can see where the old gold rush diggings effected the area now a lake.

My wife and I attended an event called "Borealis on The Lake" held at Lake Daylesford, during our recent holiday in Daylesford, where we stayed for two nights. Tickets are $20 per person.

Coined ‘Borealis on the Lake’, the immersive outdoor art installation will beam lasers over Daylesford Lake to recreate the natural phenomenon of the northern lights.

Created by Switzerland-based artist Dan Archer, the captivating display runs every Thursday to Sunday from 15 July – 4 September 2022.

It is an interesting display of technology. A minor negative is the dull and monotonous music that was played in a loop during the show.

We visited on Australia Day and were pleasantly surprised to find the lake bustling with families - some were relaxing on the foreshore, others were taking a dip or paddle boarding on the water. Part of the track around the lake was closed near the Beach during our visit and so we were diverted for a short time along the road. A couple of springs are nearby as well. There are plenty of benches scattered around the lake and parking was easy to find. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

The views of the morning were simply stunning. This is an incredible lake, with some inquisitive ducks stopping by to visit. The lakeside is also stunning, with a gorgeous floral garden, an area to sit as well as cafe and a restaurant.

The lake walk is a must do. Lots of bird life to see especially in the evening when the cockatiels come home to roost. I will say though, the walk would be much nicer if the council maintained it a bit better. Like getting rid of the blackberries and the basket willows. They are both terrible weeds and if they cleared them out the walk would be a much more enjoyable experience with I am sure, a lot more views of the lake.

We walked around the lake and it was really very beautiful from so many different vantage points. Lots of photo opportunities. The only downside was that the toilets (council run) were very dirty and extremely dark. I would only use them if desperate!
The Lake is well worth a visit!

We walked through the conifer forest overhead and looked down from the viewing area. People were swimming and boating, there were picnics, and many cars were parked. A pleasant early Summer's day and we were comfortable back in town.

On both days we started with a beautiful walk around Lake Daylesford. It's an easy 40 minutes walk. Parking available at several sites, but we parked next to The Boathouse Restaurant where there is ample parking available. Highly recommended.
