We were welcomed in the church by the church volunteers. They gave their time and information freely. The hat experience was fun.

A beautiful church dating back to the 15th century. Wonderful stained glass windows. Lots of interesting features, including mice by Robert Thompson! There was a Hat Exhibition when we visited, which added to the interest. Helpful and knowledgeable volunteers were in the church to help.

Visited St. Mary's on one of our visits to Thirsk. Truly beautiful church. It was where James Herriot (Alf White) was married. This made it extra special for us to visit .

This is a really quaint old church with some exceptional stained glass windows. A lady was vacuuming the altar area so I had to crop so as not to include her in my photo.

Very friendly volunteer who told us lots of interesting things about the church. There were also leaflets and paddle boards in different languages to help visitors. Some great things to see here.

Gorgeous church with a stunning and well-preserved 14th century door. A lady inside welcomed us and gave us some very interesting information. Peaceful and well worth a visit.
