We parked at Hooks Car Park (free), and walked all the way along and down the other side, making a loop along the country roads. We spent a glorious 3 hours! The views are spectacular, and we enjoyed every minute of experiencing this lovely place. Seeing the moorland and seemingly spontaneous mini waterfalls trickling underground and over the edge was... What a view, if you love a good walk this is the place to be. We walked up from the local North Leas campsite which took us about 45 minutes to get the top, you could possibly do it quicker but I'm more of an ambler, than rambler. We spent an hour or so on the top, having a picnic... More

Went on a nice warm summers day, fantastic walk to the top took a bit of effort but was worth it. Once we got to the top the view of the rolling hills was amazing would defo recommend to anyone. Its safe for most people, just be careful if you struggle uphill. Throughly enjoyed my walk, and intend to explore... More

Highlight of my trip to Peaks. Car park near the view point on side of road is best place to park for a short 5-10 minute walk to the rocks. They do go on for miles so plenty of walks possible.

Two options, a long walk and there are many different ways up. We walked up from Baulk Lane through Hathersage and it took us 90 minutes from the Plough Inn. It's not such a steep walk up as only the final part is dramatically up-hill. Walking down you pass through St Michaels where Little John's final resting place is. Or... More

Stanage Edge has a special place in my heart. It's evocative rugged gritstone cliffs echo an industrial past and provide a rural idyl for those who love places that appear remote and in a way surreal. The Edge is easily reached by a short walk from on road parking and then you can indulge in as short or long an... More

A wonderful relatively easy walk with excellent views. Pleasant climb up to ridge through small wood, there are several different ways up though. Once at the top after about 30 minutes the scenery is fantastic. There is ample parking close by with public toilets close to one.
