Dovedale is a really beautiful part of the world. We tried to explore it by bike. My recommendation would be to walk there instead as you end up carrying a bike over the stepping stones and up steps but a fantatsic place

This valley is really beautiful and relatively easy to access. There are gorgeous walks through the valley alongside the babbling brook which is the Dove River. I can highly recommend a visit.

Can people still paddle in the water. I remember going as a kid and swimming in the water. It' was great.
