Visited this pub on a day trip to Whitehaven whilst on holiday in the Lake District. We remembered, en route, that Tuesday is steak day (it was a Monday) but by good fortune there was a special of 8oz Rump steaks with chips and peas...More

A nice bright Wetherspoon pub across from the harbour. Typical decor and furnishings that you expect along with the food you expect too! We had a baked potato and bean chilli and a smashed avocado bagel and chips. Food was delicious and served quickly.

Slow service and apparently if your drunk you are asked to leave unless you know the bar staff in which case you can act like a bunch of complete noisy drunken lout’s and be served like nothing’s happened?

Visited for lunch. Pleasently surprised by the friendly staff and then the overall quality of the meal. Very tasty and certainly exceeded our expectations. Will definitely visit again

On a Saturday night visit, was disappointed 😞 by the slow customer service of the staff that looked disinterested all serving without a smile among them. The staff need to be more switched on to the job and serve looking happy or people will not...More

Eat here regularly for a quick cheap evening meal. Food is hot and tasty and especially steak night very good value as is the two meals deal. Service generally good except for maybe Saturday evenings . Easy to park nearby.
