We stayed at a nearby campsite and enjoyed a lovely walk to Wastwater Lake. It's beautiful and calming with stunning mountains too.

We stayed in Nether Wasdale at the south end of the lake. There are 2 pubs with rooms. The youth hostel on the water's edge us also an option.
