The toilets at the National Trust Car Park at Wasdale Head are portaloo style ones and really dirty and disgusting. Given the number of visitors here the NT should be making sure they are kept clean. It's an absolute disgrace and is such a shame...More

This is my new favourite place on earth! So peaceful (although we are not yet in peak season) views absolutely breathtaking and the air so fresh you could taste it. My dog loved his paddle in the water too!!

We stayed in Nether Wasdale at the south end of the lake. There are 2 pubs with rooms. The youth hostel on the water's edge us also an option.
