Wonderful collection of altars and artifacts from the very edge of empire. Young kids have an activities place and the oldies have their own quiet reading corner. Great few hours that never fails

Enjoyed an hour looking at the interesting artefacts. Staff very informative and helpful. Would have liked the words on the memorials translated and access to the grounds. Can recommend this very unique museum.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your visit to our small museum. We are working on increasing access to the site of the Roman fort and civil settlement, which is limited to guided tours on Sunday afternoons at present.

Well laid out display of articles associated with the Roman occupation of the area. The videos about the site and the exhibits was very informative. The volunteers who ensure the continued existence of the museum are to be congratulted on their efforts.
