Overview
More
Situated on the Southern tip of Lake Windermere. Lakes Aquarium has a wide range of native marine and freshwater fish including Pike, Arctic Char, Seahorses and more. It is also home to Asian shortclawed otters, pygmy marmoset monkeys, Clown fish and amazing leaf cutter ants. Cafes and giftshops are available onsite and we can be reached by Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway or Windermere Lake Cruise as well as by car. Please note the car park is not owned by the aquarium and is pay and display. We are sorry but we cannot allow dogs inside the aquarium building.

Had 2 for 1 admission offer so paid £14. Being honest it was not even worth that. Just nothing of interest having been to other aquariums in Oban and Queensferry this was a very poor visit.More

Took only 20 minutes to do the whole place. The animals were in cages that I thought were far too small. The animals looked in bad condition . It was a sunny afternoon and the place was really crowded.More

Been a couple of times now, this experience was improved mainly due to my child being able to appreciate the displays more now that he's older. Wide range of creatures to look at but not much interaction from staff

Went here on a rainy day and so did everyone else. It's a shame as has so much potential. Some of it seems a little outdated. Wouldn't go back.

We came here on a combi cruise ticket so had no research to validate our choice. Based on what was inside we would never return. We found some of the enclosures to be inadequate looking, particularly the otters, and couldn't help but come to the...More
