I've been very lucky with the weather every time I've been to the beach and equally lucky with the horses. They are all fantastic, but when they enjoy being on the beach as much as you do, it forms a special bond. This time I...More

My husband loves shire horses and as we have our golden wedding this year I would like him to experience time with them as a surprise He is very fit (cycles 30+miles) although is 74. I wonder if it is suitable for him to have half a days ride, he has not got any 'gear' however apart from waterproofs and short boots as he has not done any horse riding (but rode a camel in Australia!). Plenty of casual and walking gear. Heather

i think the farm ride would be better for your husband. The longer rides on the beach are for the more experienced. I can recommend the farm rides though, having been on one myself.

Cambrian Heavy Horses have very large horses. Their name is self explanatory. Please use your common sense and contact the owner through their website NOT Trip Advisor.
